A result of an exercise in exploring absolute minimalism, these instruments, designed by Giulio Lacchetti, are ideal for design junkies and writing aficionados alike. Unlike the design of typical pens and pencils, the user simply turns the brass thumbscrew on the anodized aluminum body to refill or regulates the length of the pencil lead, or open and close the pen. This simple gesture is derived from the method used for adjusting the points on traditional compasses employed in creating technical drawings.
